Stop losing leads who don't book

here is how the "Safety Net" strategy balances speed, quality, and data capture.

The "Hybrid" Winner

A consultant asked in our Slack channel for advice on the best website lead capture method: Direct Calendar Link (low friction but high spam) vs. Contact Form (professional but potential drop-off).

The community’s advice on balancing friction and quality:

The "Hybrid" Winner. The pro move is to embed the calendar behind a form. Once they submit their details, they are presented with the booking page (via redirect or iframe).

The "Safety Net" Benefit. Why use a form first? If a prospect fills out the form but drops off before booking a time, you still have the lead. With a direct calendar link, if they don't book, they leave no trace.

Friction is a Filter. Don't be afraid of a little resistance. Adding hurdles (like a form or mandatory qualifying questions inside Calendly) ensures only serious prospects make it to your calendar, filtering out the "sales pitchers."

Start Lean. If you are early-stage, start with just the calendar to maximize volume. If (and when) the spam becomes annoying, graduate to the Form + Calendar model.

Bottom line:
Direct calendars are great for speed, but forms are better for control. The sweet spot? A form that auto-forwards to a calendar capturing the data and the meeting in one flow.

2025 Events Recap

This showdown between thinkers and AI builders is over and the GTM bubble didn't just pop, it exploded. We tore apart the ABM playbook to determine if it’s dead, evolving, or just rebranded spam, and the answers shook the room. If you are still relying on static lists and cookie-cutter plays, you need to hear why the experts say it is time for a pivot.

We’ve captured the heat, the debates, and the final word on whether "account-based" is still relevant in a post-persona world. A massive shoutout to our partner Seamless.AI for powering this debate, it’s safe to say the future of GTM looks nothing like the past.
