I answered this thread myself, which is unusual. Someone asked how hard it is to get a normal website change live and I said Webflow, team makes the changes, moving to Sanity and Next.
Then the thread explained why platform was not the interesting part of my answer.
A Question About Landing Pages
Sergey Diniovskiy posted in #chat-gtm with a question and a disclosure: he is building in this space, so part of it was research.
The question was deliberately unglamorous. A landing page for a campaign, a pricing update, a copy change, a section for a promo, something small that somehow takes longer than it should.
Then four questions. What is the site built on, who actually makes the change, how long from decision to live, and where does it get stuck.
The Stack Predicted Nothing
Four people answered with four different setups, and the speeds ran opposite to what you would expect.

The fastest answer came from someone who wrote his own site in Python. The slowest came from someone on a mainstream page builder. If tooling predicted velocity, that table would look very different.
Something other than the CMS was doing the work.
Ozan Named Ownership
Real diagnosis, and where most of these conversations stop. Tooling stopped being the constraint, so the remaining constraint must be organisational.
Two days later someone told him it was half right.
Jonatan Drew the Line

Two buckets, and every website change sits in one of them.
Ships same day, because it lives on a decoupled stack and marketing owns it: landing pages, promos, pricing copy, new sections.
Waits on engineering, because the app renders it: pricing logic, gated and authenticated pages, in-product copy, anything pulling from the database.
No marketing tool fixes the second list, because those are product, not marketing.
Then the correction. Ownership only works once the two buckets are physically separated. If your marketing site and your app share a repo, even a fully empowered owner lands back in the engineering queue.
The organisational fix and the technical fix are not alternatives. One is conditional on the other.
Ozan Conceded and Showed His Work
The next reply is why this thread was worth writing up.
What they built, in three parts:
Marketing repo. Landing pages and everything above the fold. Marketing owns it and ships same day.
App repo. Anything behind auth or pulling dynamic data. Engineering owns it.
Accept the ugliness. The cost is usually a shared design system fighting you across the boundary.
Jonatan's verdict on teams that skip the split: they keep paying for it on every launch.
The Version With Four Separations
This pattern has a name outside the thread. Decoupled marketing separates the marketing site from the core product so growth teams can launch pages and test messaging without risking app stability, and the practical model runs on four separations: separate codebases, separate deployment pipelines so marketing releases do not wait for product releases, separate content ownership, and a clean boundary rather than a full replatform.
Ozan and Jonatan arrived at the first and third of those from experience. The middle one is worth adding, because a shared deploy pipeline reintroduces the queue even after the repos are split.
The candidates for decoupling are the high-change surfaces: landing pages, microsites, campaign pages. Anything with direct product dependencies stays close to product engineering. Same line Jonatan drew, from a different direction.
Run It on Your Last Three
Take the last three website changes that stalled and sort them.
Marketing side, still stalled? Ownership problem. Ozan's original answer applies: give one person the page and the authority to publish.
Product side? No amount of ownership helps. The person you empowered still has to file a ticket. That is a repo boundary problem and it stays one until someone draws the line.
Both problems show up in the same backlog, which is why solving one never clears the list.

Build AI GTM You Can Trust
(Wednesday, 12th August | 12 PM EST | 9 AM PT)
AI agents are only as good as the data feeding them. Most GTM teams are scaling AI on top of fragmented, ungoverned data, and every layer of automation just gets you to the wrong answer faster. ZoomInfo's GTM Operations leaders on building the foundation that makes AI at enterprise scale possible.
AI-led GTM Series #01:
Designing High-Impact AI Workflows for GTM Systems
(Thursday, 13th August | 12 PM EST | 9 AM PT)
There's a difference between a workflow that runs and an agent that decides. Jomar Ebalida, founder of Bowtie Funnel Lab and author of Dare to Orchestrate, gets into building the second kind: agents that reason, execute, and adapt when reality shifts. Everyone who joins also gets a GitHub repo of workflow templates, agent skills, and tools to plug in.
What Should Actually Be Agentic in Your Outbound Motion (And What Shouldn't)
(Wednesday, 19th August | 11:30 AM EST | 8:30 AM PT)
Every outbound tool now calls itself agentic, but a lot of what they've automated was never the problem, and some of it is quietly hurting your reply rates and your reps' judgment. A working session on where autonomy earns its keep and where a human still has to stay in the loop. You'll leave with a framework for what to hand to agents, what to keep human, and how to audit your own stack against it in under 30 minutes.
From Workflow Chaos to Operational AI : Real RevOps Use Cases
(Thursday, 22nd September | 1 PM EST | 10 AM PT)
In this session, we're showcasing AI agents built specifically for the event, deployed against real broken RevOps workflows: lead routing, onboarding, forecasting, handoffs, and resurfacing opportunities before they slip. Live builds grounded in real challenges, not generic hype.
